Law Firm Transformation: Redesigning both the Practice and Business of Law in the AI Age

Nearly every large firm has adopted AI. Across the more than 1,000 law firms we have worked with, few if any have been transformed by it. Lawyers use AI on individual tasks while the workflows, pricing, staffing and economics underneath stay the same, and the value never reaches the P&L.

That gap is closing fast. General counsel expect hourly work to fall from 72% to 44% of legal spend within two to three years, yet 58% say their firms rarely or never raise AI transformation with them. Top-quartile Am Law 100 firms grew PEP 18.5% last year against 5.3% at the bottom.
